I am a freelance writer, researcher, editor, and communication and performance teacher.

In 2016 I was awarded a QANZAC 100 Fellowship by the State Library of Queensland to research a work of fiction set during the first world war. It is set primarily in London and focuses on Annie and Portia Wheeler and the extraordinary work they did for soldiers during the war.  I tell a little of their story in two SLQ Vimeo videos –  Discovering Annie Wheeler, and my 2016 Fellowship video.

My screenwriting credits include the feature film “Don’t Tell” which was released in 2017 and has been nominated for a 2017 AACTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and several episodes of series one and two of the ABC drama “The Time of Our Lives”. I was script editor of the telemovie “Beaconsfield” which screened on the Nine Network and researcher on the ABC mini-series “Paper Giants – The Magazine Wars”.

In 2015 I completed a Graduate Diploma of Journalism at QUT with a GPA of 7 and was awarded a place on the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence.  I run a private drama and communication studio for children, young adults and adults.
